When you choose variable in any action editor you can edit the list of global and local variables

when I want to view or edit global or system variables, I have to leave the current task. it is quite uncomfortable. it would be more convenient if the user could see these variables at any time with a hot key

It might be useful to search global variable by name and perhaps by value. I have dozens of global variables and sometimes is problem to find some of them.

xpath can also be used also to parse html pages. I'm not sure if xml document plug-in can be used for parsing html. thank you for the tip on the XMLStarlet Command Line toolkit. I will look at it.

Thanks for the information. it would be very useful to add this function to the robotask because it is not currently possible to interactively select from more dynamically generated options.
