On start up I get an error message in the lower panel saying 'can't load task tree'

I'm not sure why this is or what I've done to cause it. I can't remember doing anything.

Does anyone have any ideas why this is happening?

This is not an error. It is warning only.
It seems you have an empty task tree. So the file of tree is absent.
