I've just downloaded robotask with the hopes that it can automate a task for me.

I want to have robotask create new folders (pre-defined) within any new folder that is created within a specific folder.

I noticed that the triggering even seems to detect files and folders as
equal objects,  is there any way to specify folders only ?

I think that you tell about "File monitor" triggering event. File monitor detects the changing of files. If you have a new (changed or deleted) files in specified folder (and in subfolders) "File monitor" fires an event. If an empty folder has been created, "File Monitor" will not spotted this change.
Why do you want to detect a new folders? I'm sure that there is another way for solution of your problem.
