hello
i have a small problem. i'm currently testing robotask. i want to automate user creation in windows(no AD). creating user is not a problem. but i want to put the user in the right group. so what i'm trying to do is get the right user and put him in the right group. my problem is that i want to put the good user in the group.
ex: two user anniL and alexL.
does anyone know how i could compare name?
i would copy the name of the user i want to put in a group. then shuffle all the user until the name choose in the MMC would match th one i copy.
maybe it's not the right way to go. if anyone have a idea, please reply.
thanks for reading

What criteria for comparison? Do you want to compare by the last character of the name?

hi oleg,
hey your working the weekend?
when i read what i've write, i don't understand well. so let me explain again.
if i have two user, annieL and anneL. and i want to put annieL in a group. how can i tell robotask to go in the propertie of annieL and put her in the right group. i want to compare all the letter.
one other thing,
currently, i use excel to tell robotask who to create. and it's working fine when a tell him to go to excel copy the first place, then open computer management, go where you create user and paste in the name. then bging back excel in focus and go right to the second place and copy. then return to user creation and (tab) to the next place and paste de complet name....
but if i tell him to put in different variable the name, complet name, password and group, and tell him to put them in the user creation windows, it paste the first variable, the name, then it it's like i tell him to push enter. BUT i told him to paste variable a, then (tab), then paste variable b, then (tab) and so on.
what is the problem with the variable. what i'm i doing wrong?

I found how to compare, or sort of, the user name.
i tell robotask to copy the name, put it in a variable, then to go in computer management where there is all the user, then a (send key stroke) of the variable. it then point to the good user. for now it is working, so thank reading.
