I testing this app to see if it can do this:
I would like to shut down my computer every night at 22:00.
I would like to check the following below before the computer shuts down:
I have two programs often running: Helium MusicManager and Ms Outlook that I would like to close before the computer shuts down. the programs has both a visible window and are as icons in the taskbar.one of the program has a "would you like to close this program" popup message dialog that I have to click No or Yes on before the program closes.
I want to check if Internet Explorer is opened and close it
I also want to check so that no other folders are opened before shutdown. If they are opened then they should be closed before shutdown.
I want to shutdown the computer completely (and close all programs) - not just logging out

You can use "Log off" action with "Shutdown the computer and power off" parameter.
When Windows get shutdown command, it closes each running application in user session before shutdown.
Some applications require confirmation of closing. In this case you should create the task which detects the appearing of confirmation dialog and presses the corresponding button. (see "Window watcher" triggering event)
