How does Robotask handle opened files during actions such as copying or folder synchronisation?
I mean which version of the file would it copy/ synchronise - the version of the file before it was opened;
or the last saved one;
or it would try to save the opened one at the moment of copying/ synchronsing it?

RoboTask doesn't open the files. It compare files only by names and datetime of last change.
For copying it uses the system function.

I had in mind something different than RoboTask opening the files.
I mean this: suppose I have opened a file and I am editing it (a text document for instance). A macro to copy the file from its folder to another one (or a macro to synchronise both folders) gets started while I am editing it. Which version of the file will be copied/ synchronised:
the version that was before the file was opened;
or the version last autosaved;
or Robotask will try to autosave it and then copy/ synchronise it?

No. RoboTask does no additional actions. It only copies currently existing files.
If file is locked, then RoboTask returns an error
