Outlook Express Problem

Post by anley »

Hello

Just downloaded Robo and am playing around with it (looks great so far).
But I can't work out how to do this.

In my Outlook Express I have 4 seperate email accounts. What I want to
do is automatically start the email program to check and download email
for just one of the accounts. Incidently you switch from user to user
by going to File and then Switch Identity.

However when the Outlook Express is opened it might not be logged into
the account that I want. Let's call the different email accounts A, B,
C and D.

D is the account that I want to check and download mail.

I've set Robo up so it opens the program and switches Identity but this
is the problem. If when the Robo starts Outlook the software is already
logged in to either the A, B or C account a new window opens to say
'are you sure you want to switch indentity'. Here I can get Robo to say
yes.

But if Outlook is already logged into account D then the box does not
appear and I don't want Robo to press the Enter key, instead I want it
to not press enter (because the box is not there) and instead click the
send/receive button.

So to sum up, if Outlook is logged into account A, B, or C, a new
window comes up, Robo should press Enter and then send/receive.

But if Outlook is already in account D then there will be no 'Do you
want to switch indentity' box and Robo should just click send/receive.

Hope I've explained myself ok.

Thanks
Oleg

Sorry, I don't understand clearly: why do you have many identities? I have one identity and six email accounts for different mail servers (and email addresses). And everything works fine.
But if Outlook is already logged into account D then the box does not appear and I don't want Robo to press the Enter key, instead I want it to not press enter (because the box is not there) and instead click the send/receive button.
You can use "Check for Window" action to test a window existence. Use it together with "If then" action.

My OE don't ask me when identities has been switching. What version are you use?

Outlook Express Problem

I have 4 email Identities because I want to keep everything seperaate, therefore I can keep- social emails and correspondence in A, computer business emails and correspondence in B, girlfriends emails and correspondence in C etc etc.
My outlook Express is 6.00.
I have been playing arounf with the check for window facility.
So do I check for window, if there click return and then send/receive but if not there then just click send/receive.
How exactly would I do this because it's the if/then function that is foxing me slightly.
Thanks

Corrupted or lost dbx files may be resolved due to
dbx recovery. It
can work with crashed or lost dbx files, works under any MS
Windows OS. The application can show restored dbx data from
any version of Outlook Express, it uses modern ways of
repairing dbx files.
